  • We are screwed in CA. Part of the reason for the recent spike, so they say, is there is 2 out of 5 refineries up and running and the summer blend is what is being produced. So the rest of the country doesn't feel the pain as much as we in CA do.

  • Gas is my biggest monthly expense other than house payment. My pay has not risen in the last 5 years. I make less and work 1 full time job which I have had for 22 years. I have a 2nd job to help make up difference. I am a single person trying to make ends meet and it gets tougher every month.

  • I agree. The price of gas just went up .6 overnight the other day. I just paid $4.39 today. Gas is not going down that much.

  • Hey Bebop - I am a native Californian and really don't like to be labeled what you're suggesting. I have never been cited or had an accident in my 40 years of driving. I happen to obey the laws as what Didi is suggesting. I commute daily and it amazes me that so many drivers drive the way they do.

  • I agree with you. I have lived in N. CA for over 50 years. It's amazing how it has changed and not for the better. Gangs which we never had in N. CA when I was growing up or graffiti is now in every city and county, it's really sad.
